Walt Disney World Announces Reduced Hours Starting In September

Traveling to Disney World soon?  There are some changes coming!

All four of the Walt Disney World theme parks in Orlando, Florida will see reduced park hours starting on September 8, 2020. The parks will be operating as follows: Magic Kingdom 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, Hollywood Studios 10:00 am to 7:00 pm, EPCOT 11:00 am to 7:00 pm, and Animal Kingdom 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Earlier this week, Disney CEO Bob Chapek and CFO Christine McCarthy announced that Walt Disney World has been seeing lower than expected attendance in all of  the parks since the reopening in July, after several months shutdown due to pandemic. The company admitted that due to such a long closure, they had lost close to $2 billion.

The new hours at all four Disney parks will remain through the month of October.
