Today, it was reported that all references to the seasonal showings of Country Bear Jamboree have been removed from the Tokyo Disneyland website, causing many fans to worry.
Let’s get into it!
Country Bear Theater, known as Country Bear Jamboree at Disneyland and Walt Disney World, was an opening day attraction at Tokyo Disneyland in 1983, and is almost an exact replica of the North American attractions. The Country Bear Theater features the Country Bears singing western songs for guests.
The Country Bear Jamboree used to have seasonal showings such as “Vacation Jamboree” known as “The Country Bear Vacation Hoedown” at Disneyland and Walt Disney World in the summer, and “The Country Bear Christmas Special” known as “The Jingle Bell Jamboree” at Disneyland and Walt Disney World in the winter, although were removed from the Disney Parks in North America due to maintenance costs.
Tokyo Disneyland, operated by the Oriental Land Company, still maintained the seasonal offerings of the attraction for many years after Disneyland and Walt Disney World’s closures, however, it has recently been reported that all references of the seasonal offerings have been removed from the resort’s website, leading fans to question whether the seasonal offerings will or will not return ever again.
It is important to note that the “Vacation Jamboree” did not return to the resort this year, and with this report, it seems very unlikely that the “Country Bear Christmas Special” will return later this year either. If it is true that these offerings are disappearing for good, its definitely a shame as these were still worth watching!
