Last Month, Disney removed several originals from both Disney+ and Hulu including Willow, The Mysterious Benedict Society, Big Shot, Y: The Last Man, and many more as part of a massive tax write-off.
Disney isn’t the first media company to remove dozens of originals from its streaming services as last June, Warner Bros. Discovery removed handfuls of content from the then HBO Max, and most recently, Paramount has also removed a handful of originals from Paramount+ prior to its Showtime merger.
Last month after the tax write-offs took place, it was confirmed that Disney plans to remove an addition $400 million worth of content from Disney+, Star+ and Hulu by the end of this quarter, which will take place at the end of this month. Similar to the first wave of removals which took place in May, Disney has selected a variety of originals that will be removed from Disney+ and Hulu, including a handful of Turkish originals, confirmed by Hulu’s Expiring page.
The following Disney+ and STAR Originals are set to be removed from Disney+ internationally and Hulu in the United States on June 30. Select Disney+ Originals are set to be removed globally. Here is the list of originals leaving today:
- Alaska Daily (Season 1)
- Ben Gri (Season 1)
- Between The World And Us (Season 1)
- The Company You Keep (Season 1)
- Crater (2023)
- King Shakir Recycle (2022)
- More Than Robots (2022)
- My Apologies (2023)
- New Year’s Eve (2022)
- The Nightingale of Bursa (2023)
- Recep İvedik 7 (2022)
- Runaway “Kacis” (Season 1)
You can expect to see more titles added to this list in the coming days, as these titles are worth just a fragment of the $400 million dollar total. I will make sure to keep you updated as soon as I find out — so please keep on checking this page!
