Netflix’s annual livestream Tudum has officially wrapped, and fans around the world have gone wild as several announcements and special looks at some highly anticipated projects were shown off during the event! Down below, I listed everything that was announced at this year’s TUDUM event.

Movies News:
- Extraction 3 – Just days after Extraction 2 hit the Netflix streaming service, the TUDUM 2023 event kicked off with an appearance from Extraction star Chris Hemsworth and director Sam Hargrave, announcing that a third movie in the franchise is on the way. No release date had been announced.
- Lift – Stars Kevin Hart and Gugu Mbatha-Raw introduced the first look at Lift, an upcoming action-comedy film from Straight Outta Compton director F. Gary Gray. The film, which follows an international heist crew that’s recruited to prevent a terrorist attack and must pull off the heist on a plane mid-flight is scheduled to premiere on Jan. 12, 2024.
Series News:
- Squid Game, Season 2 – Unfortunately no release date had been announced, however Netflix officials revealed that season 1 stars Lee Jung-jae, Lee Byung-Hun, Wi Ha-jun, and Gong Yoo will all be returning for the second season, joining new cast members Yim Si-Wan, Kang Ha-Neul, Park Sung-Hoon, and Yang Dong-Geun.
- Elite, Season 2 – At the event, a “steamy” teaser was released and revealed that Elite Season 7 will debut on Oct. 20. The Spanish teen drama will also see Spanish pop star Anitta and original star Omar Ayuso returning for the seventh season. No release date had been announced.
- Heartstopper, Season 2 – Alongside a clip of the new season, fans were treated with a reveal of all the season two episode titles! Season 2 of Heartstopper is scheduled to premiere on August 3, 2023.
- Korean Originals Sizzle Reel – Netflix has been investing heavily in its Korean productions, and showed off a few at the event, including new seasons of D.P. and Sweet Home in a sizzle reel.
- Avatar: The Last Airbender – At TUDUM 2023, Netflix revealed the first character images of its live-action series as well as title reveal footage – water, earth, fire, air and all. Unfortunately, no release date had been announced, however, it is scheduled to premiere on Netflix in 2024.
- One Piece – Netflix finally revealed a highly anticipated first look at Netflix’s live-action One Piece series, giving many fans what they’ve been asking for! The first season is set to premiere on August 31, 2023. Cast members Iñaki Godoy (Monkey D. Luffy), Mackenyu (Roronoa Zoro), Emily Rudd (Nami), Jacob Romero Gibson (Usopp), and Taz Skylar (Sanji) were also on hand for the reveal.
- Fubar – Netflix’s new Chief Action Office Arnold Schwarzenegger revealed that his series Fubar has been renewed for a second season! Fans were also treated to an interesting blooper reel.
New Footage:
- Squid Game: The Challenge – After the Squid Game season two casting news, Netflix showed off a brief first look at the reality show, Squid Game: The Challenge, based on its hit 2021 South Korean series. Squid Game: The Challenge will see approximately 456 contestants competing in schoolyard games for the chance at $4.56 million. No release date had been announced.
- Bridgerton, Season 3 – At the event, some first-look images of the newest Bridgerton season were released. No release date had been announced.
- Love Is Blind, Season 5 – Netflix showed off a first look at some of the hopeful singles participating in Love Is Blind Season 5, which will debut this September.
- Cobra Kai, Season 6 – Despite production being on hiatus due to the current writer’s strike, Netflix released a video of the cast reuniting, including Courtney Henggeler, Xolo Mariduena, Mary Mouser, Tanner Buchanan, Dallas Dupree Young, Gianni DeCenzo, Peyton List, Ralph Macchio, William Zabka, Jacob Bertrand, and Vanessa Rubio. No release date had been announced.
- The Archies – Some footage from the upcoming musical drama set in the 1960s India titled “The Archies” was revealed. The series will star Mihir Ahuja, Dot, Khushi Kapoor, Suhana Khan, Yuvraj Menda, Agastya Nanda, and Vedang Raina as characters from the Archie Comics. No release date had been announced.
- Lupin Part 3 – A quick clip gave us a fresh look at Lupin Part 3, the hit heist series that’s returning on Oct. 3, 2023.
- 3 Body Problem – At the event, an action-packed teaser for 3 Body Problem, the upcoming sci-fi series from Game of Thrones creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss and The Terror: Infamy showrunner Alexander Woo was finally released! The series is scheduled to premiere in January 2024.
- Rebel Moon – Zack Snyder released a behind-the-scenes look at his upcoming film Rebel Moon which is being split into two parts. The first part is scheduled to premiere on Dec. 22, 2023, meanwhile the second part’s release date has not yet been announced.
- Heart of Stone – Cast members Gal Gadot, Jamie Dornan & Alia Bhatt closed out the show by debuting a new trailer for their upcoming action movie, Heart of Stone, which premieres on August 11, 2023.
