Fall is a great time to visit the Disney Parks in the United States as the Disneyland Park and Walt Disney World Resort as Disney does a great job at celebrating the season! At Disneyland, guests can experience the fan-favorite Oogie Boogie Bash Halloween Party event again this year as Disney had just announced its return this fall. Want to know more details about the upcoming event?
Let’s get into it!
Recently, during the Halfway to Halloween celebration last month, Disney executives shared that the fan-favorite Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party will return to the Disneyland Resort this fall.
Beginning September 1, 2023 through October 31, 2023, Disney fans can experience the family friendly fall-themed event across the entire resort. Here are some extra details that were shared with guests attending the Halfway to Halloween event:
Celebrations
Kids and trick-or-treaters of all ages are invited to wear their favorite Halloween costumes for a wickedly fun evening! Admission to the after-hours event also includes entrance to Disney California Adventure park three hours before the party begins and unlimited Disney PhotoPass digital photo downloads from the party.
Each night through October 31, the “Halloween Screams” nighttime spectacular will take place in front of the Sleeping Beauty Castle and Rivers of America, replacing the current “Wondrous Journeys” show which is scheduled to make its last performance of the year on August 31, 2023.
Partygoers of all ages can also delight in special offerings just for Oogie Boogie Bash, such as “Mickey’s Trick and Treat” show, and the “Frightfully Fun Parade” led by the Headless Horseman of Sleepy Hollow.
Attraction Overlays
At the Disneyland Park, “Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas” will once again return to New Orleans Square, known as Haunted Mansion Holiday. The attraction features the iconic character Jack Skellington, Oogie Boogie and his friends as they “wreck the halls” of the mansion, preparing for the upcoming holiday!
At Disney’s California Adventure Park, three attractions will undergo Halloween-themed seasonal transformations. The Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree and Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters attractions in Cars Land will become Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree and Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-O-Ween once again this fall. The Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! attraction in Avengers Campus will also become Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark this fall as well.
Additionally, in Paradise Gardens at Disney’s California Adventure Park, guests can experience the return of “Plaza de la Familia” and tributes to Día de los Muertos from September 1, 2023 to November 2, 2023.
