WDW Kingdom
Dinoland U.S.A. was a fun land with an odd placing, and located at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The land was home to three attractions: Dino Rama, Primeval Whirl and Dinosaur. Things are always changing at the Walt Disney World Resort, and unfortunately, one of those upcoming changes involves Dinoland.
Let’s get into it!
Recently, Disney updated its maps of the resort at the parks and digitally, and big one change was spotted at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Dino Diner, the popular quick service restaurant in Dinoland U.S.A. was removed from the park map, along with the MyDisneyExperience page for the restaurant location. Earlier this year, shrubs were spotted around the location hinting at a possible refurbishment, but as of right now, it seems as if this closure is permanent.
This year, Disney also demolished the Primeval Whirl attraction, an infamous attraction at the park. And with this additional closure, and an announcement at the 2022 D23 Expo, this could be an indicator that change is coming.

At the D23 Expo in September, Disney Parks, Experiences & Consumer Products Chairman Josh D’Amaro had confirmed that Imagineers are working on a new replacement for Dinoland with changes coming soon, however nothing was officially announced. However, he did reveal some “Blue Sky” concept art for possible future Moana and Zootopia-themed replacements.
However, it is important to note that executives have not yet confirmed if these attractions will be replaced or re-themed. For now, guests can continue to visit the uniquely themed Dino Rama carnival, and experience the Restaurantosaurs quick-service restaurant, and Triceratops Spin attraction.
