For the past few years, the DC FanDome has become of one the most anticipated entertainment events due to the popularity of the DC Extended Universe. Unfortunately, recently it has been announced that Warner Bros. Discovery has decided to cancel the 2022 DC FanDome event. Want to hear more information?
Let’s get into it!
DC FanDome is a virtual event home to all things DC, where cast and crew of many productions came together to announce new titles, release dates and treat fans to special looks, similar to that of other events such as SDCC 2022. In 2021, fans saw special looks at titles such as The Suicide Squad, Peacemaker, The Flash, Black Adam and more.
However, this year, executives at Warner Bros. Discovery have confirmed that the DC FanDome event will not return in 2022. Instead, DC will be participating in other comic-cons around the world due to the return to in-person events.
This news comes after the recent confirmation that DC is set to re-structure its universe with a brand-new 10 year plan, similar to Marvel Studios, announced by executives during an investors meeting.
Personally, I find it kind of disappointing that the FanDome event won’t return this year, but what do you think of the DC FanDome not happening this year? Let me know in the comments!
