
Comic-Con started in 1970, as a small gathering to celebrate the art of comics and superheroes. Ever since 1970, Comic-Con continued to be celebrated every two years bringing together fans from all over the world to celebrate beloved franchises such as Marvel and DC. The celebration has become a pretty significant staple in the entertainment industry over the past years as some big announcements have been revealed at these events in the past, including theatrical releases and more! Today, I will be discussing the upcoming San Diego Comic-Con International 2022 panel schedule.

Comic-Con Film School 101: Pre-Production and Writing

Comic-Con Film School is back for another four-day, nuts-and-bolts class on how to make a movie for very little money using available video hardware and software. Whether you’re shooting your first League of Legends fan film or that story about the leather-clad girl who hunts demons, this course will take you from script to final product so that you too can enter your own movie into the CCI International Film Festival. This first class covers the specifics of preproduction on the cheap, including screenwriting, scheduling, location scouting, crewing up, and getting equipment for nothing. The big Ballroom 20 stage becomes a celebration of fan costuming with a cosplay competition of impressive re-created and original design costumes crafted by our talented attendees. Not a dance or party, it’s a show on a stage with trophies, cash prizes, and other awards. Doors open for audience seating at 8:00, but picking up a free ticket early will save you from some line-waiting later. Free advance tickets are given out at noon on Saturday upstairs near Ballroom 20, and also at the Masquerade Desk after 3:00. If you don’t get a ticket, you can still attend if seating is available. The Master and Mistress of Ceremonies will again be writers/artists Phil Foglio and Kaja Foglio, with special live intermission entertainment from The Corps Dance Crew and the Saber Guild Star Wars performance group.
