For years CinemaCon has been the home to major companies revealing previews and sometimes announcements to upcoming feature films that are released in theaters. Even during a surge in COVID-19 cases worldwide, CinemaCon is still pushing to take place this month.
Let’s get into it!
Over the past year, production on feature films had been delayed and many theatrical release dates were pushed back almost two years! A few months ago once vaccines were available to the public, production on many upcoming projects had resumed, release dates pushed forward, and events finally started taking place once more. For a second, it almost seemed like things were getting back to normal until COVID cases began to surge again!
However, the ongoing pandemic doesn’t seem to stop the world’s largest convention for the movie theater industry from taking place at Caesars Palace, Las Vegas, NV from Monday, August 23rd to Thursday, August 26th, 2021. Many companies attending the convention include the Walt Disney Company, Warner Bros. MGM/UAR, Universal, Focus Features, Paramount Pictures, Sony Pictures Releasing, and Lionsgate will present and reveal previews or trailers.
