Disneyland & Other Theme Parks Might Reopen in April

On Friday, health officials set new guidelines on when California theme parks such as Disneyland, and other outdoor venues could reopen after an entire year of remaining closed. These venues could reopen anytime in April, but there is no set date as of right now. Today, I will be informing you on the exciting news that Disneyland and other California theme parks that could reopen very soon!

As many of you may recall, the coronavirus pandemic was introduced to the entire world in January 2020 and lasted over a year. We have seen tremendous progress throughout 2021, but citizens and businesses around the world continue to suffer from the ongoing pandemic. As COVID-19 vaccination rates increase the overall amount of coronavirus cases, hospitalizations, and deaths decrease. Allowing many countries and states to lift their COVID-19 restrictions depending on where you live.

On Friday, health officials have announced that new coronavirus guidelines have been set on when California theme parks, stadiums, and outdoor venues can reopen. California’s biggest theme parks such as Disneyland, Disney’s California Adventure, and Universal Studios Hollywood are all set to reopen sometime in April as long as the cases in their counties are removed from the purple tier. 

These theme parks would operate with limited capacity, mask mandates, social distancing measures, plexi-glass borders, and other safety requirements put in place to ensure the safety and  happiness of all of their guests. However, stadiums and outdoor venues will likely operate in a similar fashion with social distancing, and face mask requirements when they welcome back visitors starting April 1.

Please keep in mind there is no set reopening date for the theme parks listed above, but they are expected to reopen in April.
