Many of the Walt Disney World theme parks and Disney Springs shopping district in Florida had reopened to the general public in July 2020 after a few months of being closed due to the coronavirus pandemic. Meanwhile, 2/6 beloved Disney theme parks that didn’t reopen last summer included Disney’s Blizzard Beach waterpark & Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon waterpark.
Disney fans & citizens across the United States were hoping that Disney would reopen their waterparks in time for last summer, but it wasn’t successful. Luckily, several months later in September 2020 Disney had announced an official reopening date for one of their waterpark’s known as Blizzard Beach.
Disney’s Blizzard Beach is set to reopen on March 7, 2021 right on time before the summer season when schools let out and traveling begins to increase. However this is not a great idea knowing that there is a massive spreading virus among us, and mass gatherings will not help ease the spread. The waterpark will likely reopen with some coronavirus restrictions such as social distancing precautions, and hand sanitizer available to the public. Guests will more likely be required to take a coronavirus test and turn out negative before enjoying their stay at the waterpark.
